Altered States: a retrospective
Glenn McKay creates luminous projected images, a.k.a. light shows, and has been doing this for four decades, starting with the Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, then at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, and in 1999 with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
McKay now works with contemporary musicians and composers to create museum installations, music videos and a new concept in painting, using LCD and plasma flat-panel display screens with special computer programs. Other works include canvas painting, transparent paintings on plexiglass, photography, video and installations.
